The Museum

The museum houses a large space at Hotel all’Alba and is the result of the enthusiastic collector and owner Alvise Gandin who over the years carefully gathered war relics from the territory of Belluno and beyond.
The collection is divided into sections: the visitor can’t miss the displays dedicated to the Great War, the Second World War and some important moments in more recent military history.
A rich collection of objects, sorted by type, is presented in chronological order and tells the story of everyday men and women through their uniforms, field equipment, weapons, documents and dioramas. Together these objects recreate moments of life during the Great War, such as an Austrian shelter and an Italian infirmary.
